Showcasing Massey University’s leading-edge research

Massey University was first established as an agricultural college in 1927. It was granted full university status in 1964, and holds a unique position amongst New Zealand universities as a major provider of distance learning. Its five colleges — Business, Creative Arts, Health, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Sciences — teach and maintain centres of research excellence across the university’s three campuses: Manawatū, Auckland and Wellington.

At Massey, we pride ourselves on the value we place on research, both as a scholarly activity and as a means through which to improve lives, lift social and economic wellbeing and nurture our environments. Put simply, we think that our people are committed to making a real difference for Aotearoa New Zealand and for the world.

In this first edition of Rangahau, we showcase the breadth of ongoing and recently completed research across the university, drawing attention to our diverse portfolio and the quality and ingenuity of our world-leading researchers. Focusing on a discrete selection of research projects that speak to the university’s distinctive character, this issue profiles the work of Massey researchers on 30 projects.

Rangahau is free to purchase, however a shipping fee will be calculated at checkout.
