Deborah Coddington has worked as a journalist, broadcaster and writer with many media organisations — Metro, North & South, Herald on Sunday, Sunday Star-Times, BBC World Service, Radio Live and NewstalkZB — and has won numerous awards for her feature articles as well as a Qantas Feature Writer of the Year Award and a Wolfson Press Fellowship to Cambridge University. From 2002 to 2005 she was an MP for the ACT Party. Deborah’s memoir, The Good Life on Te Muna Road, was published by Random House New Zealand in 2015. Deborah is married to Colin Carruthers QC, and they grow grapes and make wine on their 11.5 hectare vineyard, Te Muna Valley Wines, at Martinborough in the Wairarapa. She has four children and three grandchildren.
