Dr Bethan Greener is Associate Professor in the Politics programme at Massey University. Her research has focused on international security issues, such as the role of police and military forces in peace operations, gender and peace building, and security in the Asia-Pacific region. Her first book, The New International Policing, was published in 2009, and she co-authored Internal Security and Statebuilding: Aligning Agencies and Functions, which was published in 2015.
Her research has also appeared in journals, such as International Peacekeeping, Asia Pacific Viewpoint, Journal of Intervention and Statebuilding, International Relations, Policing and Society, Alternatives and Global Change, Peace & Security, and has been funded by a number of sources, including the Royal Society of New Zealand’s Marsden Fund and the Australian Civil Military Centre.
